Jones & Jones Architects and Landscape Architects is well known internationally and highly respected for their work in both Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
Barry Hoyne work with the firm was almost entirely involved with their zoologically designs. Jones & Jones were pioneers for their zoological work in natural exhibit design. In addition to having architects and landscape architects, Jones & Jones maintained biologists on staff.
It was my great honor to have played my small part in the transition for cages to natural environments for the wildlife and public.

In addition to exhibit design, Barry worked extensively on the design of exhibit arenas and animal holding facilities including a number of semi-transparent flight cages constructed of cables and woven wire fabric for aviaries and small primates.

At Jones & Jones, Barry Hoyne worked as both a registered architect and registered landscape architect. As an Associate with the firm, Hoyne worked on a number of major projects at the San Diego Zoo (various exhibits & Wegeforth Bowl), Milwaukee Zoo (Primate Exhibit), Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, NJ (Bear Exhibit), and Honolulu Zoo Master Plan.
